I sold my tenanted condo last month. I did discuss this beforehand with the tenant as I need his compliance. His tenancy ends in Nov but he told us he has no issue moving earlier as long as we don’t withhold his 2 months security deposit. We agreed. We managed to get a buyer finally and on the day the option was exercised we texted him giving him notice of a specific date which gave him ample time to find a replacement accommodation. He replied OKAY. Now he is refusing to stick to that commitment because he has difficulty finding a unit because of his many dogs. He is also not allowing the bank valuers into the premises.
