Hi, if it is your first HDB loan, you do not have to retain 50% of the sales proceeds to pay for the resale flat. There will be a resale levy applicable as BTO is considered a subsidized flat. You can firstly apply for an HFE, which will state all of these clearly for you.

Hi

As its your first hdb loan, no need to set aside 50% of your sale cash proceeds. Since you are getting resale flat without grants, no resale levy applicable as well.

For your 2nd resale flat, there is no need to pay levy if you are not applying for any grant. If you are taking a second HDB housing loan, you have to use part of the cash proceeds from the disposal of an existing or previous flat to pay for your flat purchase, so as to reduce the loan amount required, for financial prudence. Hi Sir/Mdm,

If you are taking the HDB loan for the first time then the right sizing of loan rule will not apply to you and you are not required to have 50% of your sale proceeds retained to finance the next flat. The right sizing of loan will only apply if it is your 2nd HDB loan. Resale levy is not applicable if you are buying a resale flat.
