I recently view a unit of 3+1 (two years cotract) and was told to pay two months deposit and one month rental upon signing the tenancy Agreement, is this normal as i requested to pay two months and balance two months including agent fee upon collecting keys.

Hi Tenant,

There is no standard for security deposit and advance rental, nevertheless, it is very common to collect 2 months security deposit for 2 years rental. Advance rental is usually paid on the day of moving in. As for the agent's commission, it is up to the 2 of you to agree when it should be paid.
