Hi,

Temporary loan as the name suggests is of a temporary nature of approx 6 months, and is used more as a bridging loan, for owners who are selling and moving to their new HDB for transition purposes. If you intend to borrow for longer than this period, the HDB loan is the better option. It could be due to this reason that hdb rejects the temporary loan as well.

I have helped various clients on their temporary loan application before and would be happy to share the best approach.
