I probably have a bad credit rating (multiple personal loans) while my wife has a very good credit rating. Our salary is almost the same (6k/mth). We are intending to get a pte property.
Will we get a better loan quantum if she applies as sole applicant, or is it still better we go ahead and apply as 2 applicants even though my credit rating is bad?
Thanks

Afternoon Mr. Pat,

With combined income, both of you may or may not get higher loan amount but may not get 80% loan. With your spouse income alone, she may get less loan than using combined income but likely to get 80% loan. However, all this are subjected to your spouse clean credit and income record, age and number of units in holding.
