I plan to file for a divorce and surrender a resale flat not meeting MOP. Flat was purchased on newly married and first timer schemes. Is there any penalty for surrender the flat prematurely? If yes, how much is penalty?

Hi,

to file a divorce, have you consult a family lawyer?
Second, once the legal process is completed for divorce, you can approach HDB for the selling process. If divorce is within the MOP and none of the u is eligible to retain the flat, u need to return the flat to HDB, subject to HDB's approval and compensation for the return of flat will depend on HDB also.
