Hi,
Yes you can continue to keep the HDB but also must know if your wife have a HDB too besides the condo she own now,if she does have a HDB then you cant keep the HDB.
My 2 cents worth is ,check on your HDB prices and see hows that area prices does it hold well,if not maybe u can reconsider a change of plan on assets planning unless u plan to own stay then that’s another story. Most important is if you HDB after check past transactions and price is not holding well,yet u still planning to own stay ,then don’t pay too much CPF into your HDB cos the accurred interest in CPF might lead to a negative sale one day .

Hi,

Yes you can keep your HDB and she can keep the condo, you need not add her name into the HDB, as at point of purchase, you had already qualified for the HDB resale. Do note that you are required to continue staying in the HDB if its still within the MOP period.

Nothing will change after you get married. You may choose to live in one of the properties and rent out the other if you wish to.

You can continue to keep your HDB flat, while she is not required to sell off her condo too.

Having said that, I think there is no harm for both of you to do a property portfolio health check, especially during this period. The purpose of this health check is to see if your existing HDB flat or her condo has reached saturation point, and if the properties are working hard enough for you.

If the properties are working good and giving you good returns with good potential upside, then I would suggest you to hold onto the properties to enjoy the maximum returns. However, if after the check you found out that either of the properties is under-performing, then you might wish to look into how we can address this issue.
