Dear Sir/Mdm,

Yes you can purchase another private property after selling your current property. Kindly note that it is important to time the sale before the purchase so as to avoid paying the Additional Buyer Stamp Duty. Your spouse HDB will not be affected in any manner.

Dear Buyer,
Yes, you can definitely buy another private property after selling your current one. But, your timing and location is important. Do not make the mistake of selling and waiting for the price to go down before you buy again. In an upward market this is a BIG MISTAKE. If you sell now, you must plan to buy almost immediately because we are supposed to be in a economic downturn but the property market has actually been very steady since April 2020. It will definitely go up and cross the 2013 peaks in a year or two. This is why I suggest you must TIME your selling and buying.

As for buying in the right location, this is something I would need to discuss with you personally. I advise clients according to the strategy that they want to take be it for own stay or ROI (rental returns).
