It is possible, however, it is not so straight-forward.

These are some of the questions you will need to ask yourself:

Is the HDB is under loan?
If so, is your Father still working and drawing an income?
Is he able to support the balance loan?
Did you use your CPF for the current flat?
If so, is your Father able to refund the amount back to you?

Do you have sufficient funds set aside for the downpayment and stamp duty of the private property?
Have you sorted out your maximum loan and worked out your budget?

Dear Sir/Mdm,

Technically it is possible but if there are 2 issues that you may need to take note.

1) Your dad will need to return you the CPF + Accrual Interests that you have used so far for the house using his CPF, cash or by taking a loan.

2) If there is an outstanding loan, you dad must take over the loan and his income and age must be able to support the loan amount.
