I own a HDB (BTO) flat which is still within MOP (MOP till 2018). However, I want to upgrade to an EC in the near future, also to move nearer to my parents when my child goes to Primary School in 2018. I am looking at applying for an EC now, whose TOP is 2018, hoping to move into the new EC once my HDB MOP ends in 2018. How can I make this possible?

Good afternoon,

Do take note that you have to fulfill the minimum occupation first before you can apply for a new EC.

Hope it clarifies.

Maybe you can consider to look into a resale private property around your parents place in the future.

Hi,

Unfortunately you have to fulfil your MOP of 5 years before you can apply for any new EC or 2nd residential property. Thanks and hope it clarifies.
