Home owner or essential occupier must not own any private residential property, including those overseas for 30 months period before they are eligible to apply for BTO. They must relinquish their ownership in the private residential property, including those overseas if they purchase through the resale channel, within a period of 6 months from taking possession of the resale HDB flat.
