Hi,

With regards to resale levy, yes, you will have to pay $ 45,000 as of the current HDB resale levy structure, if you are going to apply for another new HDB Flat. For resale HDB flat, you do need to pay levy.

So should you apply for a new HDB flat or buy a resale unit? The answer lies in your needs and financial condition. Are you currently financing the flat with HDB or Bank Loan or has it fully paid up? The next question is to do it at the right timing.

With regards to your question, since you bought direct from HDB and intend to purchase another flat direct from HDB, you are required to pay a levy, which is $45k for a 5rm flat.

You are still eligible to buy another new flat.
