Good morning Prasad,

You are eligible to apply for ECs that TOP after your MOP date because you didnt take up any housing grant.

To be eligible, both of you must be:

1) SC + SC/ SPR
2) first or second timer
3) combined income up to $14k

If your combined income is slightly above $14k, we can appeal in order to book an EC.

You could start scouting for an EC right after your MOP in 2020.
Perhaps you could stay in touch so that I can continually update you with market insights , and launches over the year so that you are well informed of the investory and pricing etc. Alternatively , have you otherwise considered private properties (condos)? If your finances permit, there are a couple of good buys that promise a strong yield and capital appreaciation for the scope of growth is exponential. Would you be interested in learning more to be able to consider a varied number of options? This will effectively optimise your time and eliminate the tedious process of you having to trawl through hundreds of listings in the future.

You can start looking or even commit to buy a new EC now if the TOP or completion date of the EC is AFTER your MOP . You do not have to wait for your hdb MOP to be over to buy a new EC that will TOP or complete few years later .
