Hi Vincent,

Are you concern on your loan eligibility here or purchase eligibility? From what I am aware, the loan considerations (TDSR and MSR) is only taking into consideration your finances in Singapore. As to eligibility to purchase, it is best to speak to HDB as the write ups currently are relatively vague to know if the arrangement of ownership overseas will affect your eligibility to purchase a HDB in Singapore.

Hi Vincent,

1) The MSR is based on your income, age, and expenses in Singapore, thus any outstanding loan overseas will not be taken into account for the tabulation.
2) As long as you didn't own any residential property locally and overseas, this should not affect your eligibility to purchase an HDB flat.
