Yes, you can as agent fees is negotiable.

However, you need to consider the motivation and commitment level of the agent. Most of the time, you will actually gain more by paying 2%, as the agent will be more motivated to help you fetch a higher price.

Hi Aussatt,

I think it'll be better off if you take up the selling on your own such that you need not pay anything at all. Selling a property is easy.

I strongly believe that I am worth every single cent paid to me for representing my client to close a deal. I do not agree on anything less than 2% before any transactions has taken place.

Do you think that any agents who compromise on their commission before any deal is even on will compromise with your buyer for the sale of your unit?
