You can try submitting the intent to buy, as they will run through some eligibility questions to determine if you are able to proceed. Importantly, you will need to have your citizenship fully approved in order to enjoy the privileges that is given to all Singapore Citizens for the purchase of properties in Singapore.

Hi,

1) From receiving IPA to receiving your citizenship you will still regard SPR status.
2) Thus you are not able to register your intent to buy without meeting the eligibility of owning an HDB flat.
3) It takes around 3 months from the receiving of IPA to final conversion.
4) You may start your searching process but you have to ensure the seller is willing to wait till you receive your pink ID. You should not place any deposit unless you prepare to take the risk.
5) The OTP date must be 1 day after you receive your passport where the date of issue is indicated on the passport.
6) Any date earlier the HDB will consider you have bought the flat at your current residential status. This is applicable to the IRAS interpretation as well.
7) If the seller signed an undated OTP, this is not a legal document recognized by the authority. And thus you will face a problem claiming your loss if things turn sour.
