I just got my PR last year Feb, and was thinking to apply HDB with my bf who is SG citizen. But the problem is I own a property in Malaysia and is still under loan. Just wondering if I transfer the property to my parents is it possible because it is still under loan?

Good evening Kim,

Do take note that if you intend to apply for BTO or new EC with your fiance, you will have to dispose off your ownership in malaysian property first and observe a waiting period of 30 months before you can apply.

Thus you will have to opt for resale HDB or private property (still can hold on to overseas property).

As for your malaysian property, do check against the regulation there for better understanding.

Hope my explanation helps!
