I have checked with bankers before on similar situations before. You might have difficulty to obtain max bank loan within 1 year from your clearance.

It will be best that my banker can advise you more on this.

But do take note that owners not necessarily be the borrowers. Both of you can be owners but loan can solely based on your spouse's income.

Nowadays more buyers obtain bank loan because the interest rates still remain low and its still lower than HDB loan.

Based on my experience, bank will not be willing to process your mortgage application unless you have managed to maintain a clean record for 2 years and above. Should you try to apply for HLE or bank loan with your spouse, it would be likely they will consider your spouse income only.
