I hv sold my 5rm flat and intend to either downgrade or get another 5rm with a bank loan. My husband's credit is good but not mine (bankrupt). Now let's say 1 day my husband's cpf has been used up and need to pay cash monthly for our next unit. Can I take over the monthly repayment loan if I'm discharged from bankruptcy.

Afternoon Fasha,

Depending your both your income status, your husband can apply for the mortgage loan to be calculated on his sole income, though bank will still take your income into assessment. Let's say the situation which you have projected takes place, yes, you can choose to assist on the monthly mortgage installment.

    Dear Mike,

Thank u for the prompt reply.
U mean bank will allow me to assist in the monthly installment even of my status?

Hi Fasha,

the best is to check with the bank, or engage an agent to help you check with the bank.

If you are looking for one in the North area (woodlands, yishun, or sembawang), I may be able to assist.

Sincerely
