If you would have no problems in getting approval to rent out your flat as you have been assigned overseas.
The conditions of renting out is to provide HDB with the evidence to prove that you and your family will be relocating to a foreign country.
Do note that you will still be responsible to ensure that only approved tenants stay in your HDB Flat. And you would be required to report any changes to the tenants to HDB.
There are some small administrative charge by HDB of $20 for the application to sublet your unit.
During this period you are away, it is best to appoint a reliable real estate agent to help you manage this, and ensure that your tenants do not run away without paying rent. Similarly, they do not damage your HDB flat or cause you any unnecessary issues with HDB or the neighbours of your unit.
