Morning Raj, If you decide to Do-It- Yourself, you can follow the procedures provided in HDB website. http://www.hdb.gov.sg/fi10/fi10321p.nsf/w/BuyResaleFlatPlanPurchase?OpenDocument If not, you can choose to engage a real estate salesperson to guide you throughout the whole purchase process. From shortlisting, viewing and securing of unit to first and second HDB appointments. Currently there are still a lot of buyers very confused about the new HDB regulation so a real estate salesperson will come in very handy. Hi Raj, If you have sufficient cash on hand to make payment for the purchase, you may proceed to do your purchase first. Otherwise, i would advise you to sell your existing place first before purchase and negotiate with the buyer of your condo for extension while you make your purchase. I have done a couple of transactions with such arrangements before therefore I will be in a good position to assist.
