I have purchased a HDB flat under my name so am unable to buy a pte property under my name. Can I purchase the pte property under my parents' names but service the loan under my name? What are the implications / conditions?

Hi Michael,

As long as you had fulfilled the MOP of your HDB flat, you are able to buy a pte property under your name.

Morning Michael,

As per William have advised, upon fulfilling your MOP, you are allowed to purchase private property while keeping your HDB unit. Whether to stay in HDB or private property would have to depend on your citizenship. To purchase a private property under your parents name but using your name for mortgage, you will have to check with banker to assess your credit and income status. However, it's unlikely to use your CPF for the installment for the private property, if you were to purchase under your parent's name.
