Hi,

1) Dependent on what type of ownership on title deed:
(a) Joint Tenancy: This is automatically equal share to all owners. 2 persons would be 50-50, 3 person would be 33.33% each.
This is the most common ownership in HDB where the survival will receive the share from the deceased.
(b) Tenancy-In-Common: This is a share dividend type, where the percentage of ownership already spelled when setting up this agreement. The difference between this and 1(a) is the owner can specified who and amount of share to whoever inherit the share.

Hi, firstly can I know has your unit reached MOP yet? And yes, usually for divorce cases, it is usually being handled by private lawyer and your lawyer will split into a 50% shares for each person. I had handled few such cases before and hope to assist you further too.

It depends on the court order arrangements for the property. Typically its 50 / 50 shares but every case may have their own arrangements in the end. I have done similar cases before and will be happy to assist.

Like what they have answered above, usually it's 50/50. However, it also depends on how your lawyers handled the divorce. I have encountered cases where it was split in a different ratio.

Dear Sir/Mdm,

There are many factors affecting the split. And this will be reflected in the court order. So the final split will still be dependant on the court order. And even if the final verdict is 50/50, how much you get will also depend on how the expenses are being deducted and when is it being deducted.

What I can suggest is that we can actually meet up for a chat and I can help you to look through the court order and explain to you. I do not know whether is it a good or bad thing but I have handled many divorce cases before and in fact right now I am handling 2 divorce cases. Usually for divorce cases, the EQ of the salesperson handling the house have to be high as this is usually what helps both party to move on in their lives, The skills and knowledge of the salespersons actually become secondary even though it is very important still.
