Asked by
I have an existing HDB flat in Singapore but am intending to apply PR in New Zealand for work purpose. In the event that my PR application is successful, I would like to buy a house there. But is there any legal implication here in Singapore that I have to give up my house? End of the day I would still want to retain my citizenship. Need advice.

Mr Du,

Have you already fulfilled your MOP for your HDB?

Hi Geryl, Yes I have fulfilled my MOP. But am I able to purchase a house in another country using my PR status there? Will there be any implication here in Singapore?
