I have a valid HLE for purchasing of 4 room HDB. If the approved amount in principle is sufficient for me to purchase a 5 room HDB, my question is, can I use it to buy a 5 room HDB instead if I changed my mind from a 4 room HDB or do I need to reapply an HLE for purchasing a 5 room HDB?

Hi,

The good news is, you do not need to reapply for another HLE. You can use the current one that you have. If you are looking to purchase a bigger unit than you originally wanted, I would recommend that you do a detailed financial calculation.

Maybe we can have a non obligatory discussion about this if you are comfortable. Looking at the current market, I would also recommend buying a 5 room over a 4 room. As mentioned, there are no obligations at all and we will forward the calculations for you to keep so that you can make that informed decision.

Hi,

There is no need to reapply, the HLE typically states the approved amount is for all types of hdb housing categories, and as long as you don't intend to loan more than the amount stated.
