I have a resale HDB under non-citizen family scheme with my LTPV parents. My boyfriend owned a resale HDB under single scheme. We are planning to get married. If we have no intention to buy a new HBD under our name, do we need to dispose my non-citizen family scheme HDB or his single HDB?

Hi Stella,

In your case once you are married, both of you could only retain a HDB flat and will have to let go of the other. HDB will further issue a letter to inform both of you at a later stage.

Hi Stella,

Both you and your boyfriend will need to decide which HDB flat to dispose off after your marriage, as a married couple can only own 1 HDB flat. You will have up to 6 months upon your marriage to dispose either of the flats.

I am experienced and well-versed in both HDB and private transactions. I will be able to assist you in your property plans. Please get in touch with me for a more in-depth discussion.

Should you need require further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
