I have a property putting out for sale now and i am waiting for its proceeds to pay into next property purchase as well as avoid the 7% tax, question is my next target property is selling fast. Means i might really not be able to wait too long. What can be my options or really no options can only wait and see?

Technically speaking, yes, your only choice is to adopt the wait and see approach.

Evening,

Based on your enquiry, you requires funds from your current unit to facilitate the purchase and the sales to take place to avoid payment of ABSD. Hence you do not have much choice but to wait it out. Getting your agent to adjust the pricing might help your unit move faster.

With an intensive marketing campaign, you should be able to sell your unit within 1-2 months if it is priced correctly. You may want to find out what is going wrong with the marketing efforts, is it because the property is mis-priced or more efforts need to be invested into advertising?

For the purchase, it is currently a buyer's market with an oversupply of units flooding the market. It is a good time to buy as there are many choices available in the market. May I know which is the project you are currently looking at? In some instances, you can request to developer to hold the unit with an option fee for a time period while you sell your unit.
