I have a jumbo in Yishun area, have been servicing initially by CPF then subsequently by cash todate. As I have gotten the flat a long ago and I have been residing overseas for work almost a decade now. I am not sure if I am bound by any resale selling restrictions? I like to look at the possibility to let go off the flat and if I am eligible to get some financing to get a private cluster house instead? Can someone offer advice?

Morning, Depending on your date of key collection and date of application to rent out your unit, the chances of you being able to market you unit is very high. Hello, it would be most likely you would be able to market your unit since you have bought it long ago. However, in order to be on the safe side, you can engage a professional real estate agent to assist you to find out all the necessary info on your behalf should you not have the capacity to do so. If you are residing overseas and unable to handle the paperwork for resale, you only need to appoint Power of Attorney to save you all the trouble. As for owning a private cluster house, you will be subjected to MSR, TDSR, loan quantum etc... It would be best to get your banker to do a financial check for you before committing.
