Hi Jun Hao,

You can stay in a rented private condo, but take note that you are supposed to stay 5 years in your HDB to fulfill your MOP requirements.

Assuming you had stayed 1 year in your HDB before moving to another condo for xx years, when you return to stay in your HDB in future, you will have to fulfill another 4 years stay. This is the theory of MOP.

Just to add, during the xx years where you stayed in a condo, you are not supposed to rent out your HDB, unless you have got special approval from HDB.
