Hi,

If its a resale EC or private condo , yes no issue. However for new EC from developer, its not possible since your name is required for the application and to be eligible you can't have private property ownership within the last 30 months. Hi Kevin,

Yes, if your wife and son are SC or PR, it is possible for them to co-own a resale EC that has past the 5-year MOP.

However, they are not eligible to apply for a brand new EC from Developer, as you will need to sell your condo and wait out 30 months before being able to do that. Do take note that your household income should also fall within the income ceiling eligible for EC ($14K).

Good morning Mr Toh,

Your wife and/ or son are eligible to purchase a RESALE ec if they are at least SC or SPR.

If you are thinking of brand new EC, you will have to first dispose off your condo and observe a waiting period of 30 months before you can apply.

When you apply, new EC eligibility conditions will be applicable as well.

Such as:
1) form a family nucleus with wife
2) combined income ceiling of $14k
3) both of you must be either first or second timer.
