I had fully settle my HDB loans

I was considering only of trying to sell my Flat in Towner road and acquiring newer 4 room flat in Sengkang near MRT/lrt
I am 61 year old. I read CPF website stating me to return est 575,000 to my CPF.

May I know how does it work.... since i am past withdrawal age.

Good morning,

Sure I am happy to assist and calculate for you. The 575k I believe you are referring to the CPF utilized+accrued interest. This amount will be refunded to your CPF and to fulfil the full retirement sum of your cohort, which should be around $161k based on the info of your age shared here.

The balance $414k (575k - 161k) can be used to purchase the next property. I believe there will also be some sale cash proceeds available, which you can used for the next property also. It should be possible to fully paid for the 4-room flat in Sengkang.

May I know which blocks you are looking at for the next property?

I do understand your intention.

$575k should be the amount you had utilised along with accrued interest in your existing HDB in towner.

Maybe we can work out your numbers first to see whether can you transit smoothly to an unit in Sengkang. Because sale price must be above $575k in order for this amount to be refunded into your CPF OA, if not it will be a lower figure. We call it negative sale.
