I will not advise to use CPF to pay off the existing loan even if the interest rates are higher than before. Key consideration before any decision is how much interest will CPF give in the event that the funds are left in the CPF account versus the amount you will need to return including accrued interest should you sell off the property sometime down the road, You are not only paying off the current loan interest but will be required to pay the interest back to CPF. If you are able to use existing cash to pay off the loan, then I think this is something you can consider. If you are able to find out the existing loan that is outstanding now, we can perhaps look into whether are you able to refinance into a loan package that is better than clearing off the outstanding loan using CPF.
