Unfortunately no, you have to meet the MOP before you can purchase another residential property. Alternatively you can invest in a commercial property within the MOP period, no issue.

It is compulsory to fulfill the MOP before you are eligible to purchase a landed property. You can choose to appeal for a waiver of the MOP but chances are slim since you only purchase the HDB back in 2016.

You may want to explore purchasing the landed property under another family member or under a trust if you have sufficient financial resources.
