I am wondering why some agents are charging half month commission for 1 year lease? i know and believe its suppose to be one month rental price + 7%gst for 1 to 2 years lease. those agents charging half month is very fishy, especially when not charging me 7%gst...why is that?

The common practice for commission chargeable is half month for 1-yr lease and one month for 2-yr lease.

GST is chargeable for agents associated with GST-registered real estate company. It should be clearly printed on the company's commission agremeent form.
