I am told when purchasing a HDB flat through an agent, buyer need not pay commission to agent. Is this the industry practice.

Hi,
If the agent is representing your interests, bringing you to different units and seeing through the whole transaction, yes in all fairness you should be paying him the agent commission for his professional work. If its a DIY case, then its a different story.
