Hi there, there is no need to purchase a dual key EC with your parents as that is only applicable if you purchase a 3 gen BTO from HDB. however, you would have to adheres to MSR and some of the rules and regulation governing the purchase of new EC. we do have some very interesting EC options which we would be very happy to share with you. Hi,

There are not many ECs with dual keys configuration left. Some that come to mind is Ecopolitan and Forestville, which are close to selling out. Reason being current EC regulations require a 2 generation family nucleus to be eligible for new EC purchase from developer, buyer pool is smaller and hence developers have refrain from including such unit types in their projects.

There are also some private condo with dual key units at comparable prices as ECs which I am happy to share.

Do take note that you will have to form a multi generation family nucleus with your parents or in laws in order to purchase a dual key EC.

Care to share why are you thinking of EC over private property?

There are usually quite a number of restrictions to take note of.

In fact, there are properties that are priced close to EC pricing and some comes with dual key concept! Will you be keen to find out more?

Hi Mdm,

Buying a dual key is an excellent idea as EC are priced lower as compared to a private condo within the same location. This would mean that you will stand a better chance to enjoy a good profit from the sale in the future. For dual key unit, you can rent out part of it to generate passive rental income immediately upon key collection.

However, to buy an EC, you will need to satisfy the eligibility conditions and for dual key unit, yes, you will need to apply with your parents.
