I am single Singaporean working overseas (foreign income, no foreign property). Is it possible to buy a HDB resale flat when I reach 35yo under the singles scheme even if I have no local income? If I get married with a European spouse, can we still go for a HDB resale (if we do not buy foreign property first)? Just evaluating the options and doing some financial planning for the future.

Hi, as long as you are local and at least 35 years and above, you are eligible to purchase a resale HDB flat under Single Scheme.

Yes, you do qualify to purchase a resale HDB flat once you have passed age 35, under the Single Scheme.

If you were to get married to a foreign spouse, you can also qualify via the Non-Citizen Spouse Scheme.
