Depends on whether your income is variable or fixed, the duration might varies from 3 to 6 months.

Hi,

1) You are only eligible for HLE if you are applying under Single with an average gross monthly income not exceeding $7k.
2) Document need if your income is fixed with monthly CPF contributions are as follow:
(a) 3 months' payslip preceding the month of application.
(b) A letter from the employer certifying job designation and commencement date. Sample of the letter: https://www.hdb.gov.sg/cs/infoweb/-/media/HDBContent/Images/EAPG/sample-employment-letter.ashx
(c) Latest 15 months CPF contribution history.

3) So you will need to have been working for at least 3 months not necessarily in the same company. You may apply for it as long as you have the preceding 3 months' payslips. You will just need to provide the current employer's letter and the past 15 months CPF contribution.

4) You may apply the intent to buy once you've got your HLE (valid for 6 months). The successful application is vaild for 12 months.

5) But considering you may wish to apply for the grant, then you will have to take note of the below:
(a) CPF housing grant for Single Citizens: $40k for a 4-rm and smaller flat. The main requirement is you never enjoy any housing subsidy before this. As long as you fulfilled the HLE requirement, you basically eligible for this.
(b) Enhanced Housing Grant (EHG): Up to $40k.
Must have worked continuously for 12 months prior to the flat application
Be working at the time of the flat application
Note that the average gross monthly income must not exceed $4,500.
(c) Proximity Housing Grant (PHG): $10k if the purchase is within 4km of your parents' premises.
