I am single and wish to urgently purchase a HDB flat in the east, together with my parents. They do not have CPF. I have about SGD 37,000 in my CPF ordinary account. Is this enough to deposit for a HDB flat? What price ranges should I be looking at?

Thank you so much for your advices and help.

Afternoon Marie,

To purchase urgently, you should be looking into resale flats. Depending on what room size you are looking for, $37k plus $20k (Higher Tier Single Grant) should be enough for purchase, provided that you are SC. There's also the COV component that you need to worry about and if your parent's own any property, they will be required to sell it off within 6 months from key collection, if their names are used as Co-owner or essential occupier.
