Good afternoon Maggie, You must form a family nucleus either with a SPR or SC to purchase resale HDB. You must sell off your resale EC within 6 months after HDB second appointment. Afternoon Maggie, Resale EC is considered as private property, hence you will be eligible to purchase it even as single SPR. To purchase resale HDB, you need to be married to anther SPR or SC, in order to be eligible. Do note that you are also required to remove your ownership status from the EC within 6 months from collection of keys to your resale HDB. Since it's a HDB regulation that you have to remove your ownership status on private property after purchase of resale HDB unit, you are likely to obtain 80% loan.
