I am selling my hdb and buying another and would require the proceeds from the sale to pay off my purchase. i understand that to ask for extension of time, I would need to submit my OTP to purchase at the same time that I see my place. In this case, the timing of sell and buy would be around the same time. How may I then utilise the proceeds of the sale to settle the purchase. I am using bank loan.

Hi Chadwick,

For your scenario, it is ideal to keep an approx 3 weeks gap between the sale & purchase completion dates so that there is enough time for the sale cash proceeds & cpf refund to come back in time from the sale, to be able to be utilized for the purchase. The submissions are not a problem as long as we coordinate closely.

Hi Chadwick,

This is what we called Timeline Planning.

I understand that your next purchase will be under bank loan. If you need the CPF refund from the sale of your current flat, it is advisable to time you sale and purchase at least 3 weeks apart, so as to allow sufficient time for your CPF funds to be disbursed.

If you are planning to use just Cash proceeds, and do not require your CPF refund for your next purchase, then you would probably need to set just 1 week apart, for your cashier order to be banked in so that you can withdraw it for your purchase.

Timeline planning is very important, hence I strongly advise you to get a proficient agent to assist you for both your sale and purchase.
