I am SC and bought a resale flat from open market in july 2010 without any HDB grant. With the old rule, I am eligible to buy a private condo at any time now as email replied by HDB officer.

My question is if I buy a BUC condo now with TOP @2015, can I rent out my whole unit of the flat by then? Do I need the special HDB approval?

Afternoon Westie,

Since you have attained the HDB approval means that you have fulfilled your MOP. As SC, you are eligible to purchase your second property, stay in it and apply to rent out your HDB unit.
