I am quite confuse with my current situation. I am a citizen married to an european PR and has recently disposed off our private property in Oct 2010 due to relocation reason. Recently, we have decided to return to SG for my partner's new job posting and wish to purchased a new HDB / EC if possible as per our initial planning. If so, this will be our first purchase with HDB. However, we cant help to notice that we are not entitled to purchase new HDB / EC. When is the right time to purchase? Where did we go wrong? We really wish to own a new flat of our own.

Hi,

As you have just disposed a private property in Oct 2010, you will only be eligible to purchase a new flat from HDB after 30 months i.e. Apr 2013.

Nevertheless, you could also try to write in to HDB to request for an exemption by completing a questionnaire - click link below.
