I am planning to upgrade from a HDB to a new launch condo. I am thinking of financing the 15% down payment from selling the HDB, however that needs to be paid after 8 weeks of paying the 5% cash payment. That would means i need to find accommodation till the condo is TOP?

Hi,

Yes if you are looking to fund the 5+15% downpayment from the hdb sale proceeds, then you would have to sell first and get temporary accommodation until condo TOP. May I know which condo are you looking at?

Hi Sir/Mdm,

My recommendation would be to focus on selling your HDB first before you actually put the 5% booking fees. This is because the current market is quite soft and it may take a while before you can secure a buyer who is willing to meet your asking price.

You WILL need an interim housing solution. Therefore it will be ideal if you can move in with your parents or in law first during the interim period. I wouldnt advise that you rent a place unless there is no other better option.
