I am now living on the 2nd floor of Ang Mo Kio but would like to move to a higher floor in the same block. Is this possible? I am 55 yrs old this year and still have another 10 yrs of instalments to pay (monthly instalment is S$950). Can I still sell my flat or better to stay in my current flat?

Mdm Ho, without knowing too many other background info, I recommend that you stay in your current flat. For the same unit size, the higher floor unit will almost always be more expensive. Moreover, if you would only want to stay in the same block, it may be tough to find a unit you like, within your price range in that case. There are also other incidentals like agent fees, stamp duty, and renovation which you will need to fork out.

Do let me know if I can assist further.

Morning Daisy,

As your monthly installment premium is quite high, at your current age, I would advice that you stay in your current unit. Unless you are talking about downgrading from 4 room flat to 3 room flat, which is possible for some blocks within AMK.
