I am married, currently serving MOP in a new flat with 4.5 more years to go. My parents divorced a few years ago and hence my dad (who is SPR) is currently staying with me. My wife is not too pleased with this arrangement. But as single SPR, my dad cannot purchase a resale HDB on his own (private is out of budget).
So my plan is, when my MOP is up:
1) Sell the current flat
2) My wife buys a private with her name, we move into the private flat.
3) BTO a flat or buy resale HDB with my dad (who will be 68 by then) under Owner-occupier scheme (I am the owner and my dad the occupier, so I will pay for the HDB)
So my question is if this is possible, can I purchase HDB with my dad if I am married?
I am also open to other suggestions/solutions if any. Thank you!
