I am looking to purchase a resale EM and the valuation visit is today. I've got a few questions.

(1) How long does it take for the valuator to complete the visit? I need the report urgently due to a deadline given by HDB for my HLE. Can this process be sped up?

(2) Also if i am not happy with my agent, can i make a change or discontinue their services at this stag?

Hi Mr. Teo,

The official time for the valuation report outcome to be out is typically within 7 to 10 days from the date of the valuer's visit, owing to processing time and professional appraisal.

Well, I suggest discussing with your agent on the points where you are not satisfied with his/her service and see if anything can be worked out, considering he/she has put in some effort into assisting with your requirements. If you really find things unsatisfactory and feel a change is in both of your best interests, yes you may want to consider a change of agent to complete the remaining processes due to completion. Thanks and hope to understand your requirements and situation better so to make better recommendations.

Warm Regards,

Evening Benjamin,

Typical valuation should be ready within 7 to 10 working days. However, I have experience cases where my buyers got their report within 4 working days.
If you are unsatisfied with your agent, do try to work it out. As long as you have not signed the buyer's checklist and exercise the OTP, with your current agent as witness, you can work things out accordingly.
