I am in the process of selling my HDB 3 room apartment and I was told by the inspecting HDB officer to engage a HDB approved contractor to raise the installation report with electrical points and submit to HDB and to handover this report to the new buyer? Why is this necessary? I have checked with other HDB property sellers and they did not have to do this. Furthermore when I called the electrical contractors that was recommended by this HDB officer, they are quoting me S$500 for drafting it and to certify my aircon unit. I am confused can you clarify my doubt.
