I am in the interim process of selling my 3 room apartment in Bedok North. The HDB officer came to inspect my home and asked me to engage a HDB approved electrical contractor to raise the installation report with electrical points to be submitted to HDB and my new buyer of my house. He also wants the check done on my aircon unit. Is this necessary? I had done a check with my other friends who had recently sold their flats and they did not have to go through this process. There were two contractor names provided by the HDB officer however when I called the contractor, one of them asked me for S$500nett for the assignment without even coming to look at the fault in my aircon. I am very sceptical about the contractors. Is this a HDB policy for matured flats only? awaiting your reply
