I am currently joint-owner of a 3-room HDB with my dad. I married a foreigner and moved away from Singapore a year ago. Am I entitled to buy a HDB flat? If I return to Singapore and want to live in a HDB flat with my husband, what are my options? I don't want to live with my dad. I can give up the joint-ownership if necessary.

Evening, Since you are the co-owner of the unit with your father, you will need to have your ownership status removed from the current unit. If you have utilized CPF for the installment, your father will be required to obtain mortgage loan or cash to repay the amount back to your CPF account, inclusive of interest. Once it's done, you will be able to purchase HDB unit with your spouse, subjected to current HDB ruling. Do feel free to contact me if you require further assistance.
